Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. Asparagus Spears

  • 1 T. Canola or Olive Oil

  • 1 Lemon (juice and pulp) 

  • 3 Garlic Cloves

  • 7 Unsalted Almonds- do not use almonds if Renal and Renal Diabetes, may use unsalted almonds on the Low Sodium

  • 1 T. Soy or Worcestershire® Sauce- do not use if Low Sodium, Renal or Renal Diabetes; Low Sodium- if use the Soy Sauce- 1G

  • Pepper/ Cayenne Pepper

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Arrange the asparagus on a baking sheet and drizzle with oil.

  3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

  4. Cook the garlic for 2 to 3 minutes and then add the spices.

  5. Drizzle the sauce on the asparagus and finish by garnishing with lemon.

 

1 Serving = 1/2 cup. This recipe makes 8 Servings.
